With the launch of many new products, we've been busy behind the scenes putting together eight new children's bedroom ideas. We know that not every parent likes a themed room, even though children tend to love them.
With our room suggestions, we try to pick as many products as possible that are timeless and mix them with a couple that offer a themed look but that can easily be swapped when your child's tastes change.
No parent wants to be constantly redecorating so we hope these eight looks give you the opportunity to create a fun feel in your child's room without the fear of buying new furniture or picking up a paintbrush becoming a regular thing.
SPACE BEDROOM
There's something so fun about a space-themed bedroom and it's perfect for children who love to dream. It offers them the opportunity to let their imaginations go intergalactic while they travel to new galaxies from the comfort of their very own bed. Don’t be afraid to go with a bold centrepiece like our space rug… your kids will love counting the stars and planets.
PINK & PASTELS BEDROOM
These pretty pastel shades remind us of an ice cream counter. Whip up this beautiful bedroom look with our long-lasting Islander bedroom furniture and a sprinkling of marshmallows from our confetti spot room accessories. We've even added pink and pastel hints to our new Barbican storage range - they'll fit right in while keeping toys and games tidy.
WOODLAND TODDLER BEDROOM
Need a cosy nest for your toddler? This look ticks all the right boxes: reassuringly low bed, snuggly bedding, child-safe bedside lamp, soft soothing colours… it’s got everything you need to create a special first bedroom with the added bonus of seeing your baby through to being a child. A woodland theme is appreciated by children of all ages and the GLTC office are in agreement that this is the bedroom that they would have loved most as toddler.
RAINBOW STARDUST BEDROOM
Little rainbow chasers will love this bedroom look, and the good news is you don’t need a pot of gold to recreate it. Colourful accessories will lift a room in no time; try the Rainbow Stardust duvet cover and the coordinating curtains and rug. And don't forget to use all of your beautifully illustrated children's books to add colour and fun to the room. The bright covers are often works of art in their own right.
SHERBET TODDLER BEDROOM
Sweet dreams just got sweeter with our Sherbet toddler bedroom! Craft a cosy haven for your sleeping beauties with pastel shades and cute bunnies. And, if you’ve got room, why not set up a special space for play with a toddler table and chairs? The subtle stripes on the super pretty sherbet stripe rug would suit a bedroom for an older child too, making it a really savvy purchase.
STARS & CLOUDS BEDROOM
There’ll be happy mornings and bedtimes all round with these mood-lifting stars and clouds. Team this colourful yet calming theme with our Paddington mid sleeper bed for even more smiles. Why? It’s a bed AND a play den in one! This is the perfect bedroom for colour-shy parents whose children love all things bright. The colourful accessories pack a punch but don't take over the room. It's a really cheery look.
STARS & DINOS BEDROOM
Bedrooms aren’t just about sleep as kids get older; they’ll also need space for studying and sleepovers. Our Tate high sleeper bed combined with the Tate roll-out desk is the answer. Match it up with navy stars and dinosaurs for a smart, yet playful theme. And when your child is a little older and has outgrown the dinosaur phase, simply switch the dinosaur curtains for these more grown up navy star ones.
BUNNY HOP BEDROOM
Put a spring in their step with our Bunny Hop bedroom. It’s the perfect look for your own little bunnies and is neutral enough to last into their teens - pink and grey is such a timeless combination, don't you think? Plus, it works beautifully with our confetti spot room accessories. Do you like it?
