#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

Even though we've been talking about Christmas for a while on Make A Happy Home, it's hard to believe that this is the final post of the year. The time seems to have flown by. How are you feeling? Do you have everything ready? Or are you intending to brave the Christmas Eve chaos and crowds? Here's hoping that you get the chance to sit back, relax and soak up all the festive magic. You deserve it.

And that's also why we're turning this final post over to you ... to all of you who have made 2018 magical for us here at GLTC by sharing snapshots of our products in your happy homes. We absolutely love to see them; to see what happens when our stylish storage, soft rugs and classic wooden toys fly out of our warehouse and become part of your everyday life.

So let's take a walk down memory lane and visit the monthly winners of our #MyGLTC competition. If you're not familiar with our hashtag, every month, we run a competition for one lucky person to win £100 to spend with us. All you have to do is share a photo of one of our products in your home (on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter) using the #MyGLTC hashtag. And that's it. We hope you join us in 2019.

JANUARY & FEBRUARY

#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

In January, we fell for the sweet simplicity of @doyounoah's gorgeously styled star wall shelves. We loved the pops of pink, the little bunny and beautiful dress hanging off one of the pegs. Perfect for a nursery, don't you think?

February's winner was @anoptimisticadventure with this stunning shot of her freshly washed baby clothes lying on our monochrome zigzag rug. We've since seen baby Emlyn lying happily on it, too. From scan photo to actual baby. Congratulations, Lauren!

MARCH & APRIL

#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

We chose another cute rug photo in March - this one from @ellieandflo featuring the ever popular clouds rug. Who wouldn't want to lie for a while and watch flowers and petals falling from perfectly formed clouds? Beats rain any day.

It was playroom perfection in April with our winner, @nataliya_lloyd. We spied our Northcote modular storage range, townhouse bookcase and pretty canvas cubes in her home. Being tidy has never looked so good!

MAY & JUNE

Our teepees are magical places - somewhere to read, somewhere to play, and somewhere to relax. We loved this cosy corner shared by @southlondonmama. Books, cushions, cuddly toys and cute pyjamas. What more do you need to unwind after a busy day?

Sophie (@treloweth) takes the most perfect photos of her two little boys playing and as she's such a huge GLTC fan, we always get to see our furniture, accessories and toys popping up in the background. We adored this shot - colourful toys, comfy rug, stylish storage and Henty and Otto having fun. Adorable!

JULY & AUGUST

#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

One of the hottest summers on record made ice creams a daily essential in July. We laughed when we spotted this photo from @south.london.mom of the Lolly & Scoop ice cream shop on the beach and read that ten children had actually queued up to pick a favourite flavour.

It was the perfect tea party that captured our hearts in August. We loved this adorable moment of play that @kirstlawes captured. It looks like her little girl had a wonderful tea party in the garden with the help of the Sugar Cube play kitchen to cook up some make-believe treats for her guests!

SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER

#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

September brought one of the first sightings of the brand new Woodland rug on Instagram. Kylie (@howwemontessori) shared this photo of her little boy sitting comfortably and playing with his shape sorter. Kylie's blog - How We Montessori - is packed full of activities for children so well worth a read over the holidays.

Victoria (@raising_boys_wh) won the £100 gift voucher in October. It was wonderful to see the On the Road rug being used as a backdrop for play with lots of colourful, educational puzzles. Victoria has created a dream play space with a cosy rug and the cube storage for keeping toys close by.

NOVEMBER & DECEMBER

#MYGLTC: A Look Back At 2018

Gemma (@mama_life_style) has the most gorgeous house in the countryside and her children, Harry & Millie have the nicest playroom. We chose this photo in November because we loved the way the Sixpence play shop and theatre had been dressed with fairy lights and a little message to welcome the festive season.

In December ... well, that's over to you because there's still time to share your photos before the December 31st deadline. We'd love to see snapshots of your Christmas Day if any of your children have been lucky enough to receive one of our wooden toys from Father Christmas. We'll be choosing the winner in the new year.

Now, all that's left is for us to do is to wish you a very merry Christmas and a fantastic start to 2019. Enjoy the holidays!
