What are hidden tab top curtains?

Our kids' blackout curtains are available in hidden tab top styling only. They feature a simple, pleated front and practical tab tops at the back to make them easy to thread onto a curtain pole. They are not suitable for use with curtain tracks.
Our hidden tab top curtains are designed this way to help prevent daylight disturbing your child’s sleep and to make them a doddle for you to hang.

Before you order

Once you’ve decided on your design, use the curtain measuring guide below to find out how to measure blackout curtains and determine which curtain size you need for your window.

How to measure curtains

Curtain width:

  • * Measure the width of your pole
  • TOP TIP: For the best fit, we recommend that your pole should be 15cm/6" above your window and overhand 15-20cm/8-8" each side of the window frame.
  • * For poles up to 200cm you should order our STANDARD width curtains (135cm)
  • * If your pole measures between 200-260cm then we recommend you opt for our WIDE width curtains (165cm)
  • TOP TIP: The combination of pole length and curtain widths you choose will affect how your curtains gather, e.g. whether they're full/tight or flatter/looser.
  •

Curtain length:

  • * Measure the curtain drop from the top of the pole to where you want the curtain to finish
  • * If the drop is up to 137/54" then you should order our STANDARD length curtains (137cm)
  • * If the drop is up to 183cm/72" then you should opt for our LONG length curtains (183cm)
  • Please note: If the internal window height is greater than 183cm/72", unfortunately our curtains will not be suitable.
  • TOP TIP: If your window is over a radiator, curtains should end 2-3cm/1" above the top of the radiator. This will help prevent heat from escaping behind the curtain.
