A note on Covid-19

We know it’s a bit of a scary, uncertain time so wanted to offer you some reassurance about the steps we are taking at GLTC to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. As a small, independent business, we’re doing all we can to look out for our amazing team & lovely customers by closely following guidance from Public Health England and the World Health Organisation.

Our website is still open 24/7 and our team are working hard to ensure we keep delivering your orders. We are extremely grateful to them for their efforts and to you, our customers, for your loyalty and support during these challenging times.


What we’re doing:

Parcel Delivery
You might notice some changes to the way all deliveries are being made currently. Our carriers have rolled out a contact-free delivery experience. Delivery drivers will no longer be obtaining a signature upon delivery, in order to prevent the need to touch handheld devices. Your delivery driver will place the parcel on the doorstep, ring or knock, and then if safe to do so, retreat 2 metres from the door. They will ask you to confirm your surname as proof of delivery. Drivers won’t just leave the parcel on the doorstep and the usual process will be followed where a card is left if nobody is home to receive delivery.

Bed Deliveries & Assembly
When our delivery & assembly partners attend your property we will kindly ask you to maintain a 2 metre social distance from the team. The following guidelines and procedures have been put in place to ensure safety of both staff and customers:

1. Please let us know as soon as possible if anyone in the household is showing any symptoms of Covid-19/has been asked to shield/is self-isolating or in quarantine (as per government guidelines) so that we can reschedule the assembly.
2. Secure parking will be required for approximately 2 hours so please let us know in advance of any restrictions/parking issues on your street.
3. The room the item is being assembled in must be clean, cleared as much as possible and well ventilated where possible.
4. The assembly team will wear a mask upon entry to the property but will remove this once they begin work on assembly (nobody else should be in the room at the time).

Customer Services
Our experienced customer service team remain on hand to answer any queries you might have via phone or email. If team members can’t work from home, they are being supplied with extra hand sanitizer, more space to work, and reduced shared equipment. Our cleaning schedules have been increased to keep our teams’ working environments as clean as possible, over and above our usual high standards.

To allow our team members to self-isolate and care for family members where necessary, we have reduced our customer service opening hours. For the time being, our team will now be available from 9am until 5 pm, Monday to Fridays.

Warehousing & Admin Staff
All our warehousing personnel will be carrying out compulsory hand washing on entering the buildings. Admin staff are being encouraged to work from home wherever they can, and we are looking at ways in which our children can safely come to work with us, if childcare becomes problematic.


Our aim is to help lift your spirits with tips on maintaining a routine, as well as keeping a happy and calm family home.
