Wembley: He’s very happy and bouncy now, but when George’s dog was brought into George’s parents’ Veterinary Surgery he was very sick and really thin; he didn’t have a collar with a name tag either, so no one knew who he belonged to. But George nursed him better and as the dog got stronger they became great friends – he even seemed to like playing football with George! His parents have even said that George can keep him now.
George is the noisiest, but also the bravest of the four friends. He’s always ready to try new things and loves to go on adventures and missions – especially if he can go on his precious scooter. He loves being part of the gang, even though Lucy, Tilly and Charlie aren’t quite as keen on sport as he is! He loves all sports, but his favourite things to do are football, swimming, and rugby. He loves animals too: it’s George who mostly looks after his dog - he even gives him a bath when he’s rolled in something smelly!
Favourite places to visit: Woburn Safari Park, Wembley Stadium, the park.
Favourite games to play: British Bulldog, Stuck in the Mud, Sardines.
Tilly is really good at drawing, painting and making things – and she always has heaps of ideas for fun art projects and creative things to make; she never needs to buy birthday or Christmas cards or presents because she always makes her own! She really enjoys cooking too - she loves reading cookbooks because she is always on the lookout for new recipes. George, Charlie and Tilly are really happy when she gets baking – they know how delicious her fairy cakes and biscuits are….
Favourite places to visit: Art galleries of any kind – especially the GLTC gallery!
Favourite things to do: Photo Safari, recipes, ‘How to draw’ ideas, colouring in, guess the ingredients.
Charlie is the cleverest of the traders but he never, ever boasts; he likes coming top but he is very kind, so he never makes fun of anyone who isn’t as clever as him. When George, Tilly and Lucy just don’t know what to do next it is always Charlie who thinks of a way round the problem. He loves reading and he especially likes anything to do with The Egyptians and the Romans. He also loves cars – he recognises all the different kinds, and on the way to school he spends the whole time pointing out all his favourites to his Mum.
Favourite places to visit: British Museum (because there is lots of Egyptian and Roman stuff), National Motor Museum at Beaulieu
Favourite games to play: Chess, Code breaking, Quizzes, Puzzles.
Lucy loves science and nature – she has her own little garden where she grows things and where she can look for bugs to study. When she was little her Mum always used to find her out in the garden with a big bucket, collecting all sorts of interesting things. She still likes discovering things - maybe that’s why she loves Treasure Hunts so much! She loves experimenting too - George, Tilly and Charlie really like all her brilliant ideas for funny things to do in the kitchen!
Favourite places to visit: Kew Gardens, The Eden Project, Science Museum.
Favourite things to do: Odd One Out, Garden Treasure Hunt, kitchen experiments.
