Delivery charges

Whatever you order, be it bunk beds, bookcases, toys or climbing frames, our standard delivery charge is the same –
just £3.95.

You see we've been working on our Maths, and we've realised that lots of adding up makes things a lot tougher for everyone. What's more the same, single charge applies even if your order requires two, or even three, separate deliveries (we're not keen on multiplication either).

We reckon that's the kind of equation that'll keep our prices low, our deliveries fast and our customers happy.

Delivery times

We’re never late for lessons, so items that are in stock will be with you within just 2 to 3 working days (please allow up to 10 days for deliveries to EIRE, Channel Islands, Highlands and Islands). Please note deliveries may arrive between 7am and 7pm.

Personalised products, some furniture and other selected items will be sent separately as soon as they are ready (please check product details for more specific information).

Express delivery

If you'd like your order to arrive more quickly, for an extra £5 you can opt for our Express service which will mean your parcel will arrive on the next working day, as long as the items are in stock and that you order before 2pm (see below).

Geography is one of our favourite subjects , but sadly our maps don’t cover every far flung corner of the earth. Consequently our standard delivery service covers:

• Republic of Ireland
  

We regret that we do not accept overseas orders or send catalogue requests to overseas addresses.

Other delivery information

Two man delivery service

UK Mainland only. Certain extra heavy items require our two man delivery service, but this does not incur any extra delivery charges; items requiring this service are indicated in the product information by a lorry icon in both our catalogue and online. Please note that this service is not available for items which do not carry the lorry symbol.

With this service items will be delivered to the room of your choice (please ensure that fully assembled item(s) will fit through all access points to the room prior to ordering) and all packaging material will be taken away. We also ask you to ensure that clear access to the delivery address is available, including parking permits, permissions for access lanes etc; in the event that the delivery vehicle incurs a penalty, this will be charged back to you.

We will contact you to arrange a convenient day to deliver your order, but we require 48 hours notice if you are unable to be present for the delivery, otherwise a £50 re-delivery charge will be made.

If on delivery you are not completely satisfied with the item(s), our delivery men will take them away immediately, free of charge, for a replacement or refund. Should you subsequently wish to return the item(s) after accepting delivery, you will be charged £50 for collection.

Out of stock items and backorders

If a product is out of stock, it can normally still be ordered by you and we call this a backorder. You will not be charged for backordered items until they are despatched to you (please check the relevant product details for when the item is expected back into stock), and there are no additional delivery charges for items placed on backorder. Please note also that placing a backorder item in your basket will not delay the delivery of any in-stock items in your order.

Returns

If an item is returned which brings the value of your order below an offer threshold or a threshold for free delivery, your refund will be adjusted to reflect the fact that the offer is no longer valid. Please see our returns policy.

Self assembly

All products requiring self assembly are indicated by a screwdriver icon in the product information.

If, like many of us at GLTC, you aren’t a dab hand at DIY or just don’t have time for self-assembly, you may wish to contact the Flat Pack Construction Company (FPCC), for an installation quote. More info on the assembly service.
